Ashes Of Our Elders

This is a painting done in Watercolor and ink. It shows old Aspen trees that were recently burned in a fire, with 3 vultures circling above the new growth of the field below. The name (Ashes Of Our Elders) stands for the singular organism which is the Aspen tree(s) succumbing to the flames but forever standing to tell their story.
